Who should attend?

Anyone wishing to gain an understanding of good health and safety practice.

What are the aims of the course?

To give candidates an appreciation of the fundamentals of good health and safety practice.

What is covered on the course?

The course covers:

  • Health
  • Safety
  • Welfare
  • The workplace and workplace equipment
  • Risk assessment
  • Manual handling
  • Hazardous substances
  • Ergonomics and workstation design
  • Transport and vehicles
  • Noise and vibration

At the end of the course all candidates will sit a short multiple choice examination.  Following the course examination papers are sent to the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health for marking.  Successful candidates will receive the nationally recognised Level 2 Health & Safety in the Workplace qualification.
